Wisdom from Students: What Strength Means to Me
Ahead of the SRLA Strength 10K on October 25th, we asked our students and alumni what “strength” meant to them. Their answers surprised and inspired us!
Strength is…
“Getting through tough situations with a positive mindset.”
“To pull through even when you are in pain or feel like giving up.”
“To never give up even through the rough races/times”
“Not giving up and trying our best.”
“Having hope and perseverance in the toughest times.”
“Being able to push through anything, giving it your all.”
“Knowing that no matter what for you anything is possible.”
“Strength is all mental to me, basically how far you can push yourself to achieve.”
“Believing in yourself and pushing yourself beyond what you thought you were capable of.”
“The will to not give up, even when it gets hard. To keep pushing to reach your goals and be the best version of yourself.”
We were blown away by the thoughtful responses, each focussed on inner strength.
