School may be off for the holidays but our SRLA students and leaders having been putting in the miles none-the-less. The Pasadena Half Marathon one week away and SRLA students all across LA are getting ready for the 13.1 mile race. Here’s how…
Carson High School and Carnegie Middle School kicked off their winter break with a gorgeous 15 mile run in Redondo beach - and caught a pretty nice sunset while they were at it!
Griffith Middle School braved the cold and icy conditions for a run. Their reward? Team donuts!
Sotomayor took to the streets of Burbank and the hills of Giffith Park in order to complete their 14 mile run.
AAE SRLA ended 2019 with their annual “Polar Plunge Run”. After completing an 8 mile run, students concluded their morning with a dip into a chilly 40 degree pool! This annual tradition is a rite of passage for AAE runners.
South Gate Complex runners headed to Dodgers Stadium to take on the first 9 miles of the marathon course. They’re ready!
King Middle School SRLA wrapped up 2019 with a run followed by a New Years Eve celebration, complete with festive cookies, fancy glasses, sparkling cider, and noisemakers!
It’s an exciting time for students and leaders alike as they prepare for this important milestone on the journey to 26.2!
