SRLA Marathon Training

Every year, our flagship program welcomes more than 3,200 students from across Greater Los Angeles to train for and complete the Los Angeles Marathon.

The season kicks off in September, with students running alongside dedicated SRLA mentors and coaches.

Throughout the year, six community races – each longer than the last – build endurance and confidence on the road to race day in March.

SRLA removes all barriers to the starting line, providing training shirts, running shoes, entry fees, transportation and an official marathon uniform free of charge.

This allows students, especially those from underserved communities, to focus on the miles ahead – and run towards their full potential.

SRLA Participating Groups

SRLA groups are active across all five Los Angeles County Supervisor Districts - First through Fifth—bringing running, mentorship, and community to students across Los Angeles County.
