2-Person Charity Relay
For the third year, the ASICS LA Marathon is offering a 2-Person Charity Relay! Maybe you’re not in shape to run a full marathon by March 9th, but how about a half marathon alongside 3000 students and Leaders from Students Run LA?
HOW IT WORKS:
SRLA will be forming 2-person charity relay teams. Each team member will run 13.1 miles, alongside the Marathon runners. The first leg of the Marathon will begin at Dodger Stadium and the second leg jumps immediately onto the Sunset Strip on its way to Santa Monica.
You’ll have an opportunity to run on the ASICS LA Marathon course, and will also have an opportunity to give back to SRLA by asking family and friends to sponsor you. SRLA has a limited number of charity relay slots available; if you’re up to the challenge, contact SRLA as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW TO SIGN-UP:
To join us as an official Team SRLA member, we ask that each relay team member complete the Team SRLA Participation Form and Waiver, make a commitment to raise $900 as a team to support SRLA and join our team on imATHLETE by going to http://www.imathlete.com/donate/teamsrla and creating a fundraising page.
Once you have officially joined the team, you will receive the charity relay registration code* (this is the only way to register for the relay) and become eligible for the following fundraising benefits:
- Raise $300 to receive an exclusive SRLA marathon uniform.**
- Raise $600 to receive entry to the post-Marathon celebration with the SRLA students and a phenomenal SRLA Marathon Finisher Jacket.**
- Raise $900 to have the charity relay registration reimbursed by SRLA.
Do I have to run the marathon or charity relay in order to start a fundraising page?
Anyone can create a fundraising page: No need to be a runner.
