Friendship Run
18th Annual 18-mile Friendship Run presented by Rebecca and Richard Lewis

This is an 18-mile run open to SRLA participants and the community. It is designed to be a training run for the ASICS LA Marathon. All participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher’s medal upon completion of the event. Bibs will be distributed on race day starting at 6:30AM. Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, and age group awards will be given to the top three male and female in each division (12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 71-75, 76 & over).
Online 18-mile race registration fee is $60.00, event day registration will be $75.00. Online registration closes on Tuesday, 2/5/13 at 11:59 pm. Bib pick up and registration begin at 6:30pm race morning. Race start time is 8:00 am.
This year we are offering a 10-mile option with a registration fee of $40, with event day registration at $50. Online registration for the 10-miler also closes on Tuesday, 2/5/13 at 11:59 pm. There will be no overall or age group awards given for the 10-mile distance.

The course consists of two 9-mile loops starting in Hansen Dam Park, going out along the streets, crossing the two mile dam*, and then after the second loop the run finishes in the park.
*Water stations and toilets will be located every mile on the course, except on the dam. Water and toilets will be available at the dam entrance and exit.
Location: Hansen Dam Recreation Area is near to the 5, 118 and 210 freeways. Address: 11770 Foothill Blvd., Sylmar, CA 91342. Entrance at Dronfield Avenue off of Osborne Street between Glenoaks and Foothill Blvds.
Free parking available inside the park, however, cars will NOT be able to depart the event until after 1:00PM!
