ASICS LA Marathon Frequently Asked Questions for SRLA

Where do I pickup my bib and timing chip?
Leaders will be distributing bibs and timing chips to each individual runner.

Where do I pickup my participant T-shirt and goodie bag?
T-shirts and goodie bags are available at the NutriBullet Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at the LA Convention Center – South Hall.   Each Leader will handle T-shirt and goodie bag pickup for their team a little differently, so please speak with your Marathon Leader.

What happens at the NutriBullet Health & Fitness Expo? How do I get there and what are the hours?
Attending the Expo is optional, but encouraged.  The NutriBullet Health & Fitness Expo features interactive exhibits, the official ASICS LA Marathon merchandise store, and over 150 exhibitors. More information including directions and hours can be found here: http://www.lamarathon.com/runner-info/the-expo/

Where do I store my gear while I’m running?
Each group will combine gear into as few large bags as possible.  Gear check will be handled by group, and all group items will be stored together.  Prior to starting the race, please plan to give extra clothes to your Marathon Leader. Do not place valuables in the gear check. Group leaders will be able to pick up bags at the finish in the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

Can my family follow me while I’m running?
Yes!  Starting March 13, spectators can sign up to track a runner in the ASICS LA Marathon

How do I get to Dodger Stadium on race morning (if I’m not taking an SRLA bus)?
Information regarding race-day shuttle, parking, and dropping off at Dodger Stadium can be found here

Does SRLA have an aid station along the course?

SRLA will have an aid station near mile 22 at the corner of San Vicente and Bundy.  The station is set up in front of the Brentwood Presbyterian Church at 12000 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles 90049. SRLA will have medical support, staff and other volunteers to cheer on and assist runners from 11:00am until 4:00 pm.  There will be water, Gatorade, snacks, and Kool ‘N Fit spray.

Any Student Runner traveling alone, or without an adult, who passes Mile 22 after 1:00 pm will be encouraged to pair up with other Student Runners or join with a “Running Them In” volunteer for the last 4.2 miles to the finish.

Student Runners who arrive at Mile 22 at 2:00 pm or later will be directed onto an SRLA shuttle and transported to the SRLA check-in at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

Where can spectators park in Santa Monica to watch the finish?
All information regarding parking locations and rates can be found here

Where do I go once I cross the finish line?
Once you cross the finish line, runners will be directed through a very large finish area, which includes water, food, medals, mylar blankets, massage tents, and more. Towards the end of the finish area, SRLA volunteers will direct runners out of the area and escort them about 1/2 mile south to the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

Where should my family meet me?

We encourage families to meet runners outside of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Due to space constraints, unfortunately families will not be allowed inside the Auditorium.

What happens at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium?
Once arriving at the Civic Auditorium, runners will need to check in with volunteers at the computer terminals. Inside the Auditorium, runners will reunite with their teammates, claim their gear, receive a Nike finisher’s sweatshirt, and can enjoy a large buffet of pastas, fruits, vegetables, breads, cookies, and more.
